Hi Chelsea! Congrats on the rebrand and I’m excited to see these patterns, particularly the Henry and the Fort. A question about Henry. It says “tubular”, but I’m curious if it is more an A shape. Basically: I ride a bike everyday of my life. If I can’t ride a bike in it then I know won’t wear it. Then again, I guess I could always make the slit bigger!

I would say it's more straight than A but with the long slit and fold it can read as A. This would actually be an ideal bike skirt since it's 1 piece (unlike traditional wrap skirts) and the hem opens plenty for leg mobility!

The refresh looks amazing! I can’t find the Grant Coat on the site any more- has it retired? Or is it just being updated with new photography etc? It’s on my to sew list!!

Thank you Ally! The Grant is getting a refresh and new phots but will be back July/August! (sorry if you're in the southern hemisphere 🫣)

No worries!! I am deep in Canada, so a couple month wait is no problem at all ☺️ really excited for the new photos!

I will say the refresh has pushed it further down with the Henry Skirt and Pace Cardigan slipping right to the top 😂 so it has all worked out!!

Haha love the inspo of the nonchalantly cool liberal arts school librarian. Obviously what I aspire to be yet never seem to achieve. Is a DJ spring capsule in order for me?? I think so. I’m so happy the cardigan can be made in boiled wool because that’s exactly what I’m dreaming up. And I love that if you really wanted to, it could easily become a lined winter jacket… 😉 well done!

the DNA results came back as 75% cardigan, 25% bomber jacket

Hey Chelsea! Do you foresee any issues with lining the Pace? Looking at a midweight wool twill. Thank you!!

Easily line-able for sure! The front placket and hem facing give a clear idea of where the lining pieces should end and then maybe you'd want to switch the sleeve opening to be faced as well or maybe grown on facing. That way you can recess the sleeve lining more where right now the cuff has a 1" bend back. Also since it's oversized you wouldn't have to adjust the lining patterns for "truly" being a lining pattern. Maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about but basically no additional pattern manipulation because it's boxy!

Beautiful pieces! Will you please show us the guts of the Pace in the next one or on IG stories? It sounds like you bound the seams and I’d love to see it. I’ve been holding onto a heavy Sherpa knit cotton that might need to become this cardigan/bomber. Also curious how much overlap there is on the Fort - what’s the exposure risk with the wrap? I do love that about the Henry and agree that a heavy bull twill or denim could be the way to get me to wear a skirt these days. For the Henry in particular, it would be super helpful to see how the shape works on a curvier body.

I know you’ve gotten a ton of this feedback on social media and are waiting until you have funds to shoot more samples/sizes. Maybe you can amplify any tester/preview versions? I do think some of the more recent shoots with plus size models for the Monty and Rebel seem aligned with the rebrand and would love to see those photos on the new site as options to convey the designs.

Adding Pace guts to my calendar, will post it over on IG! I'll speak on both overlap sections of the Fort in next weeks LAB. I know that both top and bottom have personal modesty preferences so want to make sure those are clear for anyone wanting to make adjustments.

I will amplify as many tester/maker photos as possible so a wider variety of bodies are represented! I understand I have disappointed and hurt my plus audience and am working as quickly as I can to get the photos up on the site. I truly love making patterns for everybody and will continue to do so!

I accidentally bought some sanded 7.5oz twill with 3% spandex in it (thought it was same fabric, different color as non stretch) … wondering if I might get away with making the Henry skirt or fort dress in it? I have huge waist to hip difference so the stretch might be nice for pear shape that still wants to make an attempt at wearing a straight skirt.
