Loose Leaf : The LUNN neck warmer
or is it called a tube scarf? dickie? tabard?
We are staunchly inside my (most peoples?) favorite season and slowly creeping into my second favorite season. While we often think of scarves there’s another, slightly sportier, cold weather accessory not be to forgotten…the neck warmer (or whatever you want to call it).
They serve the purpose of being a functional accent and a way to add another layer to your lewk. A simple blank canvas for customization; add fringe, bedazzle with pearls, over-dye, dare I say make a quilt or grannie square version??
Warm options for fabric include faux fur like above, high pile fleece or a sweater knit. Lighter versions could be made out of the many forms of silk. Organza in particular would hold the shape really well.
My favorite way to style is over outerwear especially in the transitional times. With a good blazer or leather jacket throw the neck warmer over the top for extra, just in case warmth. So here we have…..
