We’re going to get a bit anatomical today folks.

But before we get into that let’s get to the meat of this post which is the next subscriber pattern, the Stage Brief.

I love underwear, almost as much as I love pants. Maybe it’s a lower body thing for me? Over a decade ago I started a wee lingerie line with my best friend. At the time I was working in production at Ralph Lauren and needed a side outlet for my creativity and desire to be a pattern maker. That “small side hustle” was a lesson in everything.

this was my favorite season we did. still want to bring the bra on the top left/bottom right into the DJ fold

Trade shows, wholesale, brand partnerships, production, marketing, overhead…the list goes on and on but it thankfully didn’t squash my love for intimates. I would however advise most (all) young creatives to wait until you have at least a decade working for another company before launching your own brand. Of course I too would not be where I am today had I not gone through said trials and tribulations.

These days my top drawer rotates between modal bikinis (hard core Cuup Plunge and Bikini girl over here) and cotton briefs. The latter was up until recently predominantly Arq but they are no longer and we all know we should be refreshing our underwear drawer every 6-8 months (right?). So I went ahead and drafted my own pair, with a few tweaks, and am here to share it with you all.
