Travel season is quickly approaching. There’s something about sun season that evokes exploration. I just want to get out there, go see some stuff, stick my feet in a body of water. Last August I went up to Seattle for the first time (after living in Portland for almost 6 years….) and was in a desperate search for a new weekender bag. Nothing was really speaking to me or was wayyy out of price point but I’d had a few tears saved on an accessories Pinterest board and figured I might as well just make one….to then share with you all.

I love this bag. I use this bag on the daily and it’s been my carry-on for all flights since making it. It fits perfectly under the seat in front of you be that a plane or train. It holds the weight of a laptop, ipad, hard drives, notebooks, water bottle, book i never end up reading, etc. (my poor shoulders) flawlessly in the heavy denim I made it in and I never feel like it is slipping off my shoulders due to the wider straps - p.s. put the outermost strap under the innermost strap and it’s seriously going no where.

The construction is one (1) piece that gets folded as if you’re wrapping a present and then stitched down. Scalable if you want something smaller or bigger and easily adaptable to add in a zipper or dividers because it doesn’t only have to be for travel maybe you need a good side dish carrier for those up coming sun-soaked soirees!

This would easily fit in the bag.
