Please allow me to introduce everyone’s favorite February baby Abby who is spearheading the Bulletin Board for 2025. Today she is bringing you to warmer days and really making me want a cocktail.

Enjoy. - Chelsea

In last week’s Extracurricular, we hinted at a winter moodboard focused on very non-wintery silhouettes. The vibe check around the internet water cooler tells us that we already felt like January was a year long. Whether you’ve been buried under a few inches of snow/rain/ice combo, down with winter colds brought home by your cooped up kids, or just drained from the never ending political scroll hole, we interrupt your sewing goals to urgently bring you a much needed vacay.

As a February baby, I spent many childhood years longing to have a birthday pool party filled with my best friends in bathing suits, running around laughing in that golden summer light. Days that seem to last forever, with no school on the horizon, warm breezes on our tanned arms and legs. Cut to, the reality of February with dark mornings scraping more ice off of the car has my mind wandering to that easy summer feeling…

Whether you were born in the depths of winter or not, the winter blues really start to set in around now and we feel you, we too are in need of a warm reprieve, so this week we are ideating about 3 escapist options to flee the winter doldrums and find off-season making inspiration to kick off the shortest month of the year, which is somehow also always the longest; February.
